Unraveling Dream

Leviticus 25:1-7 25  The  Lord  spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying,   2  “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into  the land that I give you, the land shall keep a Sabbath to the  Lord .   3  For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits,   4  but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to the  Lord . You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.   5  You shall not reap what grows of itself in your harvest, or gather the grapes of your undressed vine. It shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.   6  The Sabbath of the land [ a ]  shall provide food for you, for yourself and for your male and female slaves [ b ]  and for your hired worker and the sojourner who lives with you,   7  and for your cattle and for the wild animals that are in your land:  all its yield shall be for food. I have been praying to God for direction and an under

Revealing God's Plan

“Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20) In fact our citizenship is now in heaven (Philippians 3:20). We are in the world, but not of the world. We are now born from above, from God. But God has us here as his representatives, his ambassadors. As ambassadors, we are not doing our own business, but the business of heaven. As ambassadors for Christ, we should be speaking for God, not for ourselves. We should be speaking accurately in Christ’s name (Luke 24:47;Colossians 3:17; 1 Peter 4:11; Isaiah 59:21). Our mission is to work with God to bring rebels to the place where they will obey the gospel. All men are rebels by nature and need a radical change if they are going to have any eternal future with God. The old must go, the new must come (2 Corinthians 5:17). As I stare off into the mountains only one thing comes to mind," Lord, what direction are

Monday's Friday

Rounding off week number two, and luckily August 31st is far off in the horizon.  I still have much to learn and still a vision to interpret.  Really though, why rush it. The pace here is so much better than the fast pace in the Big D, and yes I mean Dallas, lol to those country folkes.  Even though the boys keep you on your toes and demand much attention, it's a walk by a calm stream compared to home sometimes.  I'm don't like much of being a desk jockey, unfortunately I'm good at it. I do know what I'm better at though!! Homework doesn't always have to be work, or at least for B. E makes homework seem simple. One smart young man, I think he teaches me more then I do him. D's a typical boy who's not a big fan of work, although he loves to eat. Homework finished and now it's free time with E & M. Snack time!!

Walk after Class

2nd trip to Spanish Class and I'm catching on more and more.  I like the class because it's one on one, not multiple people with one teacher and it's only about 40 bs an hour (about $6).  The view out of the school window is amazing. I'm from Dallas Texas and there is no mountains where I come from, just tall building that light up at night.  After two hours at class I decided to walk about to see what was around.  If you look close you can see the statue on the top of the mountain.

On my way! Cochabamba in the horizon

3 airports left until I rest my head, but who's counting!! :-). Over 4 years of waiting for a vision to be fulfilled.  Something I found more interesting was that it has been 7 years sence I have started my life over and fully committed myself to The Lord.  Even better than that, it will have been 30 years sence my dream with God. Something that tops that is, four is "curative works" or "creation" and seven represents "fathers perfection". Who could really argue with this.  Only God could arrange an ex drug addict, dope dealin bartender hell bent on a one way path to hell taking everyone with him and completely shatter his life into pieces forcing me to start right where God wantd me to be in the first place. Sometimes we need to step back from our lives and start to reposition ourselves where God wants us. If you are at a place to where everyone turns to you for answers, they all ask you for help, people come to you because you have all the answers, y

God has a purpose behind every problem. He uses circumstances to develop our character. In fact, he depends more on circumstances to make us like Jesus than he depends on our reading the Bible. The reason is obvious: You face circumstances twenty-four hours a day. Jesus warned us that we would have problems in the world.' No one is immune to pain or insulated from suffering, and no one gets to skate through life problem-free. Life is a series of problems. Every time you solve one, another is waiting to take its place. Not all of them are big, but all are significant in God's growth process for you. Peter assures us that problems are normal, saying, "Don't be bewildered or surprised when you go through the fiery trials ahead, for this is no strange, unusual thing that is going to happen to you."       God uses problems to draw you closer to himself. The Bible says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit."

Day 23 of 40

Today's Chapter is "How We Grow". From the book ; The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren. "The way you think determines the way you feel, and the way you feel influences the way you act." For me, that directly interfears which the 100 children in my after school program.  I learned first hand how my attitude and feelings were being watched a lot more than ya think.  All hundred see everything, and just like they do with their parents, they absorb a small part of your life style. You just think they aren't listening!!
